Zadar Open 2016
The tournament will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (20th), 21 and 22 Mai 2016 in the Hostel Zadar, Zadar, Obala Kneza Trpimira 76.
The organizer is the Backgammon Club Zadar.
FORMAT
International tournament backgammon rules apply in this tourney.
The main-tournament will be played in Swiss system (7 games with 9 points) *.
On the first day of the tournament will be held 4 games, on the second day the remaining 3 games. It uses the official tournament software of the Croatian Backgammon association.
The saturday evening is scheduled for the 100 € jackpot that will be played as a knock-out tournament with 11pts matches.

*Parings of each round will be determined by the draw (whithin group of players with equal or closest number of wins, and tie-break citeria: direct encounter (valid only if all players whithin group were played between themselves or if one player in the group beat all the rest), median (modified), Buchholtz, cumulative and cumulative opponent's score.

The entry fee is 200 kn, the registration fee 30 kn*.

The first three players receive a trophy in addition to the prize money.
Special Prices for women:
* in case the participant wins a main-prize too, he gets the bigger prize money, the next placed competitor will get the smaller one.
First Price = 400 kn
For the main tournament, a side-pool in altitude of 100 kn is planned.
* The registration fee for the Zadar Open is free for those players who have paid the annual fee for the Croatian Backgammon Tour already.

Venue for the Zadar Open is the Zadar hostel, Obala Kneza Trpimira 76, Zadar.

The Hostel Zadar was completely renovated last year and is located in the tourist area Borik seafront and just 2 km from the center of Zadar.
The city beaches Uskok and Puntamika are only 200 m, the Marina 20 m, the gas station 200 m away.
Within 500 meters, there are a lot of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, a bank and sports fields.
For those who want to book another hotel, there are more than 20 hotels with 3-5 stars in the same neighborhood.
